Community Service

Our attorneys and legal staff are committed to serving our community.  We are active members of many legal and civic organizations, and have a long-standing tradition of volunteering to support charitable causes.

Bar Association Leadership

Our attorneys have held numerous leadership roles in state and local bar associations.  Two of our members, Alan C. (Peter) Brandt, Jr. and Jordana L. Goldstein, have served as President of the Broward County Bar Association.   One of our attorneys is also the founding member of the Broward County Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee.  Our attorneys are also members of the Dade County Bar Association and have served on various Bar Association committees.

Two of our attorneys have served as Chairmen of the Florida Bar Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section (Construction Law Committee).  Members of our firm have also served on the Florida Bar’s Board of Governors, Board of Bar Examiners, and Construction Law Certification Committee.  Several attorneys are also members of the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry.

Community Leadership

Community leadership is a vital part of the firm's culture.  We strive to establish longstanding partnerships with community organizations in order to contribute to the area and educate others on issues related to construction law.

Our attorneys hold leadership positions with various trade organizations and serve on governmental boards, including the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF), City of Coral Springs Unsafe Structures Board, and the Miami-Dade County Construction Trades Qualifying Board.  Several attorneys frequently serve as adjunct professors at Florida International University and  Florida Atlantic University and one of our attorneys formerly taught at the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate Generals School.  We also have had the privilege of conducting legal seminars for professional and trade industry groups and other organizations throughout the State of Florida.

The staff and attorneys at our firm volunteer for a wide-range of community service programs and events.  These include programs to benefit children in foster care, food delivery services for the elderly, various youth programs, Walk Now for Autism Speaks, and the American Lung Association Stair Climb.
